Apang rubbishes China's claim

Itanagar, Nov 20 (UNI) Arunachal Chief Minister Gegong Apang termed illogical the claim of Chinese Ambassador Sun Yuxi that the state was their territory and said ''there is not even an iota of truth in it''.

''Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India,'' Mr Apang said, adding the people and the state government were fully supporting the Centre in its endeavour to find out an amicable solution to the international boundary dispute with China.

Mr Apang was addressing party workers after inaugurating the seven-day zonal-level training camp of the Congress Seva Dal at Yingkiong in Upper Siang Siang district yesterday, sources here said.

Describing the Seva Dal as the backbone of the party, the Chief Minister called upon the rank and file to be intelligent, sincere, dedicated and physically fit while performing their duties.

Exhorting volunteers to acquaint themselves with policies, duties and function of the Congress, Mr Apang stressed on people-to-people contacts to inform everyone about programmes of the state government.
