AIADMK leader distributes Rs 20 lakh to voluntary orgns

Puducherry, Nov 20 (UNI) AIADMK state secretary A Anbazhagan MLA today distributed about Rs 20 lakh to 30 government recognised voluntary organisations through the Social Welfare Department.

Speaking on the occasion, he said there was no security for the minorities in Tamil Nadu as they were being attacked.

Pointing out the death of a girl student of a school at Omallur in Tamil Nadu, the AIADMK leader alleged that the nuns were taken in a jeep to the police station for interrogation.

If necessary, the police could have been interrogated in the school itself, he said adding that such things were happening with the blessings of the rulers.

He called up on the minorities in the Union Territory to register their protest against such acts.
