UTI's new branch opens in State

Aizawl, Nov 19: The Unit Trust of India (UTI) has brought a total banking solution for the people of Mizoram by setting up it's 379th branch here yesterday.

UTI has 379 branches, 95 extension counters and 2066 ATMs, providing banking solutions to over 5 million customers in more than 270 cities and towns across country.

'' We would give priority to finance agriculture and allied sectors as well as extend support to the Self-help Groups (SHGs) in the state,'' UTI chairman and managing director P J Nayak said inaugurating the branch office here.

Mr Nayak said the bank would study the state's socio-economic status for agumenting further investment.

The bank is also planning to set up four ATMs at selected locations here, Mr Nayak said.
