"The Chamundeswari by Election is 'War'": Deve Gowda
Mysore, Nov 19 (UNI) Describing the by election to the Chamundeswari Assembly seat on December Four as 'Yuddha' (War), former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) H D Deve Gowda called upon his party workers to fight for the victory of party candidate.
Speaking after admitting into the party former Samajawadi Party (SP) City unit president Anwar, he ridiculed the claim by the opposition parties to the effect that JD(S) was against minorities.
"Minority leaders from various political parties are eager to join JD(S) against the criticism of the opposition parties in the State.
Mr Gowda reiterated that political polarisation would take place after the by election in the State.
He said that this by election was another challenge, after successfully fought his first election in 1966. "I would campaign vigorously for the victory of the party candidate Shivabasappa", he added.
