South Africa v India match abandoned

JOHANNESBURG, Nov 19 (Reuters) The first one-day international between South Africa and India was washed out today.

Steady rain began falling half-an-hour before the scheduled 1430 hrs local time start and continued until the umpires called off play at 1845 hrs.

The two teams now travel to the coastal city of Durban for the second match in the five-game series on Wednesday.
