Soldier hacked to death

Pratapgarh, Nov 19 (UNI) A retired soldier was hacked to death by unidentified assailants here last night, police today said.

The incident occurred in Rampur Gauri village under Kotwali Nagar police station area, where unidentified miscreants attacked a retired soldier Krishna Kant Mishra, his father Ramtool, nephew Rajeev with a sharp-edged weapon.

While Krishna succumbed to his injuries, others were rushed to hospital.

A land dispute was said to be the reason behind the crime, police added.

Meanwwhile, a case was registered.
