Shiv tied 13th, Harrington upsets Woods to win Dunlop Phoenix
Miyazaki, Japan, Nov 19 (UNI) Shiv Kapur saved his best for the last and carded a vastly improved two-under 68 in the final round to finish a creditable tied 13th, even as Ireland's Padraig Harrington upset Tiger Woods on the second playoff hole to win the 1.6 million dollar Dunlop Phoenix Tournament here today.
Shiv made a fine start as he sank in a birdie on the second hole but dropped shots on the fifth and seventh to make the turn at one-over.
The Indian, however, arrested the slide by playing out a flawless back nine studded with three birdies. But the improved performance was not enough to prevent an over-par finish and Shiv ended the tournament with a total of one-over 281.
Meanwhile, 2006 European Order of Merit winner Harrington (67) was tied with the Tiger (67) at nine-under 271. The Irishman kept his nerves to blast a birdie on the second playoff hole and upset the American, who was aiming for a third consecutive title.
