Rainfall at many places in Karnataka

Bangalore, Nov 19 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the Weather Office here at 0830hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at many places over South Interior Karnataka, at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts(cm): Mangalore AP, Panambur, Mysore 4 each, Mudibidre, Mangalore City, Pavgada 3 each, Puttur, Karkala, Napoklu, Virajpet, Madikeri, Chamarajnagara 2 each, Ponampet, Humchadakatte, Hassan 1 each.

Minimum temperatures fell at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at many places being markedly so at a few places over Coastal Karnataka, above normal at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka.

Dharwad recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 18.7 deg.

Forecast valid until Tuesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Mandya, Mysore, Kolar, Tumkur, Bangalore Urban, Bangalore Rural, districts and at isolated places over remaining districts.

Local forecast: Generally cloudy. One or two spells of light rain likely. Minimum temperature would be around 19 deg. Celsius.
