Procession of Goddess Padmavathi takes place
Tirupati, Nov 19 (UNI) The deity Goddess Sri Padmavathi as Krishna 'avatharam' was taken in a procession on the third day of nine-day annual Kartheeka Brahmotsava at Tiruchanoor temple near here today.
The Goddess adorned costly jewels placed on 'muthyapu pandiri vahanam' was taken in a procession through four mada streets of the temple between 0800 hrs and 0930 hrs this morning.
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer A P V N Sarma and his wife Durga Sharma along with thousands of devotees were participated in the procession.
Chakka bhajana, kolattam and Annamacharya keerthanas were performed by the devotees.
Later in the evening, the 'utsav' Goddess were taken on 'simha vahanam', after the 'unjal seva' of the Goddess in the temple marriage hall.
