Minister's kin gets bail in molestation case

Jammu, Nov 19 (UNI) The Munsif Magistrate in Kathua of Jammu and Kashmir has granted bail to state Health and Education Minister Mangat Ram Sharma's grandson in connection with molestation of a college girl.

The bail application of Nitin Sharma was earlier rejected by the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Kathua on Friday.

Official sources said the police had completed investigation within two days and produced a challan in the Munsif court of Suresh Sangora while deleting two non-bailable sections -- 294 and 366 RPC -- in its investigation report.

Accused Nitin Sharma was reportedly arrested by Kathua police on Wedensday under Sections 294, 354, 504, 506 and 366/511. He allegedly abused and misbehaved with a girl student of Kathua college and later molested her on Tuesday evening.
