Man who killed paramour in police dragnet

Anand, Nov 19 (UNI) The anti-dacoity squad of the Gujarat police have arrested a man who allegedly murdered his paramour at Dehmi village of the Indranagar area near here. He was accidently caught during combing operations on the eve of the former HRD minister Murli Manohar Joshi's visit here today.

Police today said that Bharatbhai Ramanbhai Darji is alleged to have brutally killed his paramour, one Shardaben Chhaganbhai Gohil with an axe. The ghastly crime was witnessed by her daughter Rinku.

Late yesterday night, during combing operations, the anti-dacoity squad noticed a man moving about suspiciously. On interrogation it was revealed that he was Darji and had killed his paramour, police said.

He said that he attacked her in a moment passion as she was having an affair with somebody else, they added.
