GoC 101 area reaffirms jehadi threat in Asom

Guwahati, Nov 19 (UNI) GoC 101 area Major General Bind Nayanar today said there was still a jehadi threat across Northeast and Asom in particular.

Interacting with the reporters on the sidelines of All Assam Ex-servicemen Rally, Mr Nayanar said, ''The jehadi elements are active here and the threat does exists.'' He, however, refused to elaborate on the intensity of the threat and the possible strength of the jehadi forces operating in the region. The Army was sufficiently equipped to deal with the threat, he added.
