Five kids hurt as toy mobile phone explodes

Nagpur, Nov 19 (UNI) Five children were hurt, one of them seriously, when a toy mobile telephone they were playing with exploded in village Chichgaon in Lakhandur tehsil of Bhandara district yesterday.

Police today said Satish Deepak Uike (10), Pranay Dakram Khobragade (14), Nikita Dindiram Ramteke (6), Nikhil Dindiram Ramteke (8) and Pankaj Dindiram Ramteke (4) were listening to musical tunes of the toy mobile phone when it suddenly exploded, inflicting injuries on all the five.

They were administered first aid in the village itself and later rushed to a hospital in Bhandara, where the condition of Satish was stated to be serious. The batteries in the mobile phone had been replaced a month-and-a-half ago, police added.
