Five juvenile escape custody

Tiruchirapalli, Nov 18 (UNI) Five inmates of a juvenile home at EB road in the city, escaped here tonight.

Police said the five inmates, who were lodged in the juvenile home for various offences managed to give a slip to the watchman and escaped.

They were identified as M Karthikeyan (14), C Kumar (12), V Chellamuthu (16), B Ashik Basha (17) and M Hariharan (17).

Police cardoned off the area and R Vijayakumar, who also was in the team, was caught before escaping.

Police sounded alert in all the checkposts.
