Film producer Kottarakkara passes away
Chennai, Nov 19 (UNI) Veteran film producer and writer K P Kottarakkara died at a city hospital here today, following brief illness.
According to his family sources, he was 84 and is survived by his wife and two sons.
Kottarakkara had produced 59 films in Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi and Kannada.
Some of his well-known films were 'Rakhi' in Hindi, 'Lankadahanam' and 'Adyathe Kanmani' in Malayalam.
He was also the story writer for the film 'Thrimurthy', in which he introduced famous Bollywood actress Rekha.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi condoled the death of Kottarakkara and paid tributes to him.
The funeral will take place at Anna Nagar crematorium here tomorrow at 1530 hrs, the sources added.
