Diferent temperature trends marked across country
Pune, Nov 19 (UNI) Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in north Orissa and were below normal in south Kerala. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Assam and Meghalaya, sub- Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, north Madhya Pradesh, Kutch, Telangana and coastal Karaantaka and were above normal in Jharkhand, Saurashtra, south Konkan and Goa, south Madhya Maharashtra, south coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalseema. They were normal over the rest of the country.
The northeast monsoon has been vigorous over Kerala.
Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Kerala and Lakshadweep. Rain or snow are likely to occur at isolated places in Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka and at a few places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema, south interior Karnataka, Andman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in south Konkan and Goa, south Madhya Maharashtra, north interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujrat State, north Konkan, north Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Telangana.
