Defence Minister to head mountaineering institues

Kolkata, Nov 19 (UNI) Defence minister A K Antony has been elected president of three mountaneering institutes of the country, in an ex-officio capacity, according to a defence release.

He was made chief of Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI), Darjeeling, West Bengal, Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM), Uttarkashi, Uttaranchal and Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering and Winter Sports (JIM), Nunwan(Pahalgam), Jammu and Kashmir.
