Daimler Chrysler unveils Mercedes Benz E-class

Bangalore, Nov 19: Daimler Chrysler today announced the launch of its new generation state-of-the-art Mercedes Benz E-class car in the City.

Speaking to newsmen here on the occasion, Daimler Chrysler Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Wilfried Aulbur said that the new generation E-class was presented to the Indian customers within five months of global introduction in June last.

The new car, in two design and equipment lines, stood for quality, safety, comfort, innovation and agility, he added.

Replying to queries, he said that the company had sold 1915 units of various categories in 2005, six per cent growth increase over the previous year and expected a solid growth the year ahead keeping in view the sound economy growth of India. The company was consolidating its presence in the country by offering a broad range of its products with quality as topmost priority. ''Demand for our products is increasing and Bangalore is a developed market for us especially in the Information Technology sector,'' he remarked.
