Cool weather continues in Delhi
New Delhi, Nov 19 (UNI) Delhi today experienced another day of cool weather with the maximum temperature recording a 27.6 degrees Celsius.
However, the minimum continued to be five degrees above normal at 15.7 degrees C, the meteorological department said.
Weathermen said though the sky would remain largely clear during the next 24 hours, mist in the sky is likely to prevail in the morning hours. The minimum temperature is likely to drop to 14 degree Celsius tomorrow.
It was another misty day with shallow fog enveloping the sky in the morning.
The last few days have witnessed misty conditions and shallow fog in the sky in Delhi, a development attributed to fresh spell of rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir under the influence of a fresh Western disturbance.
This in turn has led to a fall in temperatures in the plains of North West India, including Delhi.
The coming week is likely to lead to a further drop in night temperatures in North West India following the eastward movement of the western disturbance which is currently located over Jammu and Kashmir.
The Western disturbance is likely to cause showers in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab in the next few days, ''Fall in night temperature by 2-3 degrees is likely over the North West region in the next three days,''the weather office said.
