Cong High Command to select new minister: Rangasamy

Puducherry, Nov 19 (UNI) Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy today said the Congress High Command would soon select a new minister in place of Social Welfare Minister P Angalan, who resigned last night.

In an informal chat with newspersons at the pedestal of the Indira Gandhi statue, where he had come to pay homage to her on her 89th birth anniversary, Mr Rangasamy said he had received the resignation letter from Mr Angalan yesterday and it would be forwarded to Lt Governor Mukut Mithi.

Mr Mithi is expected to reach here from New Delhi this evening, he added.
