About 6,400 aspirants appear for CAT exam in Gujarat
Ahmedabad, Nov 19 (UNI) About 6,400 aspirants today took the Common Admission Test (CAT) in Gujarat for securing admission to six prestigious IIMs and other B-schools in the country.
The aspirants took the tests at 11 centres, set up in Ahmedabad alone.
H K Arts College Principal Subhash Brahmbhatt, whose college was one of the 11 exam centres in the city, said '' that it was an average paper, ''neither too tough and nor too easy.'' ''Students were quite happy,'' he said, adding that this time there was no rumour of paper leak. On the whole, everything went smoothly,'' he added.
This year, the duration was increased from 2 hours to 2-1/2 hours. There are 1,350 seats in the IIMs, of which 15 per cent are reserved for SCs, 7.5 for STs and three per cent for persons with disability.
About 1.91 lakh aspirants have applied this year from all over India against 1.70 lakh last year.
