5 killed, 15 injured in Mainpuri road accident

Mainpuri, Nov 19 (UNI) At least five people including a woman were killed and 15 others sustained severe injuries after a speeding vehicle carrying them rammed into a tractor-trolley here today.

The accident took place on Mainpuri-Etawah highway, where the ill-fated bus collided with a tractor-trolley while returning from Delhi.

Police said the deceased, later identified as Rakshapal Singh, Sukh Devi, her son Sumit, Navratan Singh and Padunath died on the spot.

The 15 others injured were rushed to the district hospital, where the condition of six of them was said to be critical.

A case has been registered.
