4 labourers killed, 12 injured in road mishap

Robertsganj, Nov 19 (UNI) At least four persons, including a woman, were killed and 12 injured in a head on collision between two vehicles in Sonbhadra district.

Police today said the mishap occurred under Chopan police station area, where an overloaded tracter-trolley rammed into a speeding bus late last night.

At least four labourers died on the spot, while 12 others were rushed to district hospital in a critical condition.

Irked over the incident, locals today blocked the Varanasi-Shaktinagar highway affecting the flow of traffic for a couple of hours.

A case has been registered.
