16,000 candidates appear for CAT
Kozhikode, Nov 19: About 16,000 candidates today appeared for the Common Admission Test (CAT) in 13 centres under the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) - Kozhikode, spread over Chennai, Coimbatore and Kozhikode amid tight vigil.
Out of it, 3,500 candidates had appeared for the test at various venues in Kozhikode, the single centre in Kerala, IMM-K Admission Chairperson P R Bhatt told UNI here.
Mr Bhatt said in the National level, an estimated 1.92 lakh candidates had appeared for CAT across the 23 cities for a total of 2,500 seats at stake in the six IIMs in the country.
Apart from the IIM, a couple of other Business Schools also absorbed students through CAT.
