XLRI student commits suicide

Jamshedpur, Nov 18 (UNI) A second year student of the premier Business School, XLRI, committed suicide in his hostel room here, Jharkhand police today said.

Police said Chandra Mohan, who hailed from Chennai, hanged himself to death from the ceiling fan in his hostel room at Xaviers Institute of Labour Relations (XLRI) yesterday.

He was immediately rushed to the Tata Main Hospital but was declared 'brought dead', police said adding the body was sent for postmortem.

The annual Alumni Meet of XLRI 'Homecoming 2006', which was scheduled to start today, had been cancelled following the incident.
