Woman burnt alive by neighbours

Chhindwara, MP, Nov 18 (UNI) A woman was today burnt alive by her neighbours at Pandurang tahsil in Chhindwara district over a trifle argument, police said.

Meghnad ward-resident Shobha had lodged a police complaint today that she was beaten by some people over an argument related to a goat.

Later, the woman was brought in burnt condition this afternoon to police station, where she gave statement regarding being burnt by five persons.

She was sent to Nagpur for treatment, where she died in afternoon.

A case was registered against Niranjan, Chandrashekhar, Vimala Bai, Mahadev and Chindubai on the basis of the woman's statement.
