TN Minister holds talks to speed up Chennai Metro project

Chennai, Nov 18 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Information and Publicity Minister Parithi Ilamvazhuthi has held discussions with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Chairman E Sridharan in New Delhi for expediting the Chennai Metro Rail Project The minister was on a visit to the capital to inaugurate the 'Tamil Nadu Day' celebration at International Trade Fair being held there.

Mr Ilamvazhuthi held discussions yesterday with the DMRC official and experts on the ways to implement the Metro Rail project in phases and the funds required for developing two corridors between Chennai Airport to Thiruvottiyur and Chennai Harbour to Koyambedu.

The Minister also travelled in the Delhi Metro Rail to study it personally, an official release here said.
