Take steps for formation of Malabar Devaswom Board: NSS

Kottayam, Nov 18 (UNI) The Nair Service Society (NSS) today appealed to Kerala government to take immediate steps for the formation of Malabar Devaswom Board particularly at a time when the state was celebrating the golden jubilee of its formation.

In a resolution, the NSS executive council contended that Malabar Devaswom Board was essential to protect the interest of the employees and devotees in the region.

''Even after 50 years of the formation of the state, we were depending on Madras rule to govern the temples in the region,'' the NSS said and demanded immediate steps to correct the anomaly and to form the Malabar Devaswom Board.
