TAI bags first prize for best TB seal design
New Delhi, Nov 18 (UNI) The Tuberculosis Association of India (TAI) has bagged the first prize of the TB Seal Designs, organised by the Paris-based international Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases.
The award was presented to the TAI Vice Chairman Dr V K Arora at the 37th Union World Conference on Lung Health.
President A P J Abdul Kalam had released the seal, depicting the theme of cultural heritage, on October 2.
To create awareness among the masses and also collect funds for health education, TAI launches TB seal campaign every year.
TAB Secretary General S C Goyal said, ''TB seal campaign has built up public opinion in favour of awareness and is a symbol of the countries determination to eliminate tuberculosis.'' UNI NR MIR DS1418
