Shiv Kapur eyes top ten finish at Phoenix tournament
Miyazaki, Japan, Nov 18 (UNI) Shiv Kapur found windy conditions tough to negotiate and returned a three-over 73 card but managed to climb to tied 15th after the penultimate round of the Japan Golf Tour's season-ending 1.6 million dollar Dunlop Phoenix Tournament here today.
The Indian has a total of three-over par 213 after three rounds, nine shots behind leaders Tiger Woods and Padraig Harrington.
Shiv had an ominous start and dropped a bogey on the second hole.
Another dropped shot on the seventh further worsened the matter before the Indian recovered slightly with a birdie on the ninth.
Back nine proved even worse and Shiv went on to drop three more bogeys as against a birdie on the last hole.
At the top, Woods also had poor outing and the world number one returned a two-over 70 card to share the top spot with Irishman Harrington (71).
