Rousing reception for new BJP chief in Surat

Surat, Nov 18 (UNI) BJP workers today gave a rousing reception to the new state president Purushottam Rupala here.

Thousands of party workers gathered at the Surat railway station and received Mr Rupala. He was later escorted to the Circuit House.

Addressing the media there, he said BJP was unified to face the state assembly elections and all set to retain power.

He said Gujarat, under Narendra Modi's leadership, has made unprecedented growth on the development front.

Mr Rupala said the state government was engaged in efforts to make the Surat airport a reality.
