Resident doctors on strike in LNJP; Services hit

New Delhi, Nov 18: Emergency and OPD services in the state-run Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Hospital here were paralysed today following a flask strike by resident doctors in protest against an alleged assault on a medico by relatives of a dead patient.

The resident doctors are claiming that the relatives of a casualty patient who died today had assaulted their colleague alleging negligence during treatment.

The striking doctors are demanding adequate security in view of the incident.

Senior officials of the hospital are holding a meeting with the residents doctors to resolve the issue.

Many patients were being returned despite senior doctors attending to patients in OPD and the emergency.
