Mob on the rampage in Vadodara, five arrested
Vadodara, Nov 18: A rampaging mob burnt down two lorries and indulged in heavy stone pelting in the sensitive Mandvi area of the city, leaving four persons injured late last night, police said today.
According to police, clashes broke out between two communities near Rajpura Pole and Mandvi Circle of the city after a customer was allegedly beaten up by a mob for entering into an altercation with an owner of a roadside kiosk.
The situation was brought under control after additional reinforcements were sent to the spot.
Police said kiosk owner Mohammad Hanif Bawarchi and four others were arrested this morning on rioting charges.
