Massive demonstration held in N C Hills district

Halflong, Nov 18 (UNI) A massive demonstration was held here today by the coordination committee of BJP-ASDC alliance demanding revocation of the cabinet decision of Asom Government by which election to the N C hills Autonomous Council was sought to be postponed.

The committee demanded immediate announcement of the date of the council election.

The term of the present N C Hills Autonomous Council expires on December 21.

The state government proposed to extend the terms of the council by another six months.
