Maoist arrested in joint combing operation
Rourkela, Nov 18 (UNI) A Maoist activist was arrested during a joint combing operation yesterday inside the Langalakata forest on the Orissa-Jharkhand border.
Police today said Marshal Bhadra (30) allegedly involved in Maoist activities in Orissa and Jharkhand areas was arrested by Kbalang police of Sundergarh during the joint combing operation with CRPF.
The Maoist activist was involved in the MCC attack on Kbalang Police station Circle Inspector Mohan Pani Karua in May last year.
The Maoists were observing ''Puspunia''at Bada Roxy area,about 80 kms from here on May 25, 2005 when the police party reached the spot.
The police officer was injured during an encounter with the Maoists.
Police said Marshal was also involved in looting of the detonator truck at Roxy area last year.
