LeT militant killed in Jammu, OGW arrested in Doda

Jammu, Nov 18 (UNI) One Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) militant was gunned down today in Akhnoor sector while an over ground worker of the outfit was arrested in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.

In continuation of combing and search operation at Khour in Akhnoor sector of Jammu district, in which two LeT militants were eliminated recently, one LeT militant was gunned down this afternoon, Senior Superintendent of Police (Jammu) Mukesh Singh said, adding that the operation was still on.

Earlier in Doda district, police today arrested one Rais Ahmed Nanoo, an over ground worker who provided shelter and food to the LeT militants.

On a tip-off that some LeT militants had taken shelter in the house of Nanoo at Gundna, police said, troops of 8 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Doda police on August 3 conducted a joint cordon and search operation (CASO), wherein an unidentified militant was killed while one jawan lost his life and six others were injured.

Meanwhile, a hideout of militants, where they used to store ration, was unearthed at Katri Dhar in Gandoh tehsil of the district.
