India Oil drub Sikh Regiment 12-0

New Delhi, Nov 18 (UNI) Star-studded Indian Oil subjected Sikh Regiment Centre to utter humiliation pumping in a dozen goals as against none in their Group B Nehru Cup Hockey match at the Shivaji Staium here today.

Deepak Thakur and Prabhjot Singh scored three goals apiece while Bikramjit Singh scored a brace after Didar Singh struck in the ninth minute to open the floodgates for the Oilmen.

Meanwhile in a Group C tie, formidable Punjab and Sind Bank had to toil hard as they overcame a goal deficit to beat Karnataka XI 3-2.

Appanna converted a penalty stroke to put Karnataka ahead. PSB regrouped after the lemon break and drew parity through Baljit Singh Chandi in the 37th minute. Rajwinder Singh put the National Champions ahead in the 39th minute but two minutes later Karnataka made it 2-2 through Anup Anothny.

Rajwinder convereted another penalty corner seconds before the hooter to give his team full points.

In a Group A match, Bharat Petroleum drew with Army XI 3-3. Both the sides were 1-1 at the half time after Armymen took lead through Suresh Kumar in the 8th minute.
