Four killed in water tank collapse in sugar factory
Beed, Maharashtra, Nov 18 (UNI) Four persons, including three children, were killed and four others injured today when an over-head water tank collapsed on them at Vaidyanath sugar factory in Parli, 65 km from here, said police.
The deceased were identified as Suryakant Dnyanoba Nagargoje (10), Kavita Baliram Chavan (14), Krishna Manik Choure (12) and Parvati Dnyanoba Munde (40). The injured were shifted to the district civil hospital.
According to police, the tank constructed 20-feet above the ground came crashing down, owing to a crack in its wall.
''We will soon complete the inquiry into the incident'', Deputy Superintendent of Police D S Sonawane told UNI.
Former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Vaidyanath Sugar Factory chairman Gopinath Munde visited the site of the accident and met families of the victims and injured.
