DD's Patha Nirdesh got three awards

Jalandhar, Nov 18 (UNI) The Doordarshan Kolkata Kendra's programme ''Patha Nirdesh'' has bagged three awards in different categories at the 6th DD Annual Awards ceremony here tonight.

The programme won awards for the best telefilm, best screen play and best edited programme. The programme was produced by producer Bibas Pal and edited by Abhijit Bhattacharyay.

Besides 'Patha Nirdesh,' DD Bharati's presentation Dhamal was also awarded in the best editing category. This programme was edited by Naresh Chawla, Vinod Dean and Vijay Kumar.

In the Self Financed Commissioned(SFC) category popular comedy serial ''Hari Mirchi- Lal Mirchi'' of the Samwad Video P Ltd, won the best SFC scheme programme award. Producer Rakesh Choudhary (Mumbai) received the award.

Sudhir Tailang's popular programme ''Mera Studio-Mera Mehman'' bagged award in the best commissioned programme category.

Mr Tailang's wife Ms Vibha Tailang received the award.

The awards were presented at a colourful ceremony held at the DD Kendra's Open Air Theatre here tonight. Jnanpeeth Awardee Gurdial Singh was the chief guest and Prasar Bharati Board Member RN Bisaria was the guest of honour. Prasar Bharati's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Brijeshwar Singh presided over the funciton.

Noted artistes Gurdas Mann, Hansraj Hans, Jaspinder Narula's preformances enthralled the audience at the ceremony.
