Dawood Ibrahim's aide deported from Dubai

Mumbai, Nov 18: Abdul Rashid Hussaini Putter, a trusted aide of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim was deported here from Dubai to facilitate a probe into his alleged involvement in fake currency rackets in the country, official sources today said.

Putter was brought here from Dubai late last night by an Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS), Mumbai, team. Putter is wanted in several cases registered against him in Mumbai and Bangalore.

ATS official sources said the Vikhroli police has a case registered against Putter for his alleged involvement in a fake currency racket, amounting to the tune of Rs 1.75 lakh, in February last year.

Putter was produced before Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate A M Garde at the Mazgaon courts here this afternoon, who remanded him in police custody till December two.
