BJP criticises Centre, state governments on border dispute

Mumbai, Nov 18 (UNI) Maharashtra BJP general secretary Vinod Tawade today said it was unfortunate that the state government could not make its position clear on the border dispute with Karnataka.

Mr Tawade was critical of the state government on not taking a firm stand on staking claim over Belgaum district in Karnataka, where the majority population is Marathi speaking.

He said though the UPA government at the Centre was led by the Congress, no efforts were made by the party to solve the issue, a party release said.
