Bijapur records lowest temperature of 16.6 degree celsius

Bangalore, Nov 18 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0930 hours today.

Rainfall occurred at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Mulbagal 2; Srinivasapura, Bangarpet, Kolar, Malavalli, T.Narsipura 1 each.

Minimum tempereatures changed little over the State. They were above normal at many places being appreciably so at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and were normal over North Interior Karnataka.

Bijapur recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 16.6 degree Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Monday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka. Mainly dry weather may prevail over North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers forecast : Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over Kolar, Mandya, Mysore, Chamarajnagara, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban districts; at isolated places over Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu, Tumkur, Chitradurga, Hassan districts. Mainly dry weather may prevail over remaining districts of the State.

Local forecast for Bangalore city: Generally cloudy. One or two spells of light to moderate rain likely. Minimum temperature would be around 19 degree Celsius.
