34 grenades, five detonators recovered from Rajouri

Jammu, Nov 18 (UNI) Security forces today busted a militant hide-out and recovered 34 grenades, including 23 Chinese grenades, and five detonators from Balakot forest in Rajouri border district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Official sources said security forces, after getting information about arms and ammunition being kept in the forest, launched the search operation.

Sources further said a search operation was also conducted in the General area of Kanthal Masuta Kollian forest in Kandi police station in Ramban yesterday. During the operation, one 12 bore gun was recovered.

In another operation of 23 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and police at Pathalan in Ramban yesterday, one pikka gun, 10 kg RDX, four detonators, three kg metal scrab, 129 AK rounds, 8 AGL grenades, three Chinese grenades and three UBGL grenades were recovered, sources added.
