2843 traders in notified areas file undertakings

New Delhi, Nov 18 (UNI) A total of 2843 traders who filed affidavits in the Supreme Court to close down their units by June 30 and whose shops fall under the areas notified as commercial or mixed use areas under the September 15 Delhi Government notification have submitted undertakings before the Monitoring committee that they stopped the misuser in their premises.

An MCD spokesperson said the corporation received a total number of 2843 affidavits/undertakings relating to stoppage of misusers till 1700 hours today.

The owners/occupiers of the premises who had submitted affidavits to stop misuse of their premises by June 30 are required to intimate in writing on plain paper to the Monitoring Committee of the Supreme Court of India that they have stopped the misuser of their properties.

The intimation should contain relevant details relating to ownership and location of property. Such owners/occupiers are not required to file an affidavit to this effect.

To facilitate traders to file intimations before the monitoring committee, the offices of the DCs of the respective zones will also remain open tomorrow, despite it being a Sunday.
