Woman commits suicide by setting herself on fire,

Surat, Nov 17 (UNI) A young woman allegedly committed suicide by setting herself ablaze yesterday, police sources said here today.

Police said the deceased, identified as Sarojadevi (26), residing at Pandesara area of the city, set herself afire by pouring kerosene over her body yesterday morning.

She was admitted to New Civil Hospital with severe burn injuries, where she succumbed to injuries. Sarojadevi was the wife of Bharathendra Kashiprasad Shukla, a native of Allahabad in UP.

A case has been registered by Pandesara police station, police added.
