We are seeking Pak help to end violence in Afghanistan: Karzai

New Delhi, Nov 17 (UNI) Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai today said he was not blaming the Pakistan government for violence in his country but seeking its help to end it.

''We are not blaming the Pakistan government.... We are seeking its help for better handling of violence in Afghanistan,'' Mr Karzai, who is on a four-day visit to India, told reporters during a joint press conference with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh after bilateral talks between India and Afghanistan.

Mr Karzai said Afghanistan was affected by violence-- violence against the people, violence against the reconstruction of the country and against those who came to develop it.

He said his country was seeking more cooperation in handling violence in Afghanistan as the security of Afghanistan was necessary for the security of the region.

''When Afghanistan suffers, the whole world suffers,'' he added.
