Training for foreign delegates at Kerala Assembly
Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 17: As many as 50 officials from 28 countries will receive training in Parliamentary proceedings during a five-day camp being organised at the Kerala Legislature Complex here from November 20.
The training programme is being organised jointly by the Bureau of Parliamentary Studies and Training and Kerala Legislature Secretariat.
Officials from countries like Georgia, South Africa, Fiji, Algeria, Armenia, Bahamas, Behrin, Slovakia, Nepal and Indonesia would take part in the training programme, an official release said yesterday.
During the training period, the representatives would learn subjects like legislation, Assembly proceedings, progressive legislations passed in the Kerala Assembly, functioning of legislature committees, poverty eradication, literacy, Kudumbasree, empowerment of women and tourism, it added.
This is for the first time that Kerala is hosting such a training camp as part of a Parliament internship programme organised by the Lok Sabha Secretariat for the foreign representatives.
