Temperatures fall in Rajasthan, winter on doorsteps

Jaipur, Nov 17 (UNI) The fall in night tempratures in Rajasthan has given a clear indication of the onset of winters.

The days are cool and pleasant but the nights are increasingly becoming cooler with temperatures falling for the past few days.

The temperature in the state capital was recorded 13 degrees Celsius today, which is three degrees below normal.

According to the met department, Dabok in Udaipur, Ganganagar, Pilani and Jodhpur recorded 14 degrees Celsius where the temperatures could further drop down due to cold winds.

Ajmer recorded 18 degrees Celsius, Kota 19, Jhalawar 17, Rawatbhata 16, Barmer 15, Jaisalmer 16, Churu 15, which is, however, two to three degrees above normal. Bikaner recorded 20 degrees Celsius today.

The weather is expected to remain dry and the temperature likely to hover around 13 degrees Celsius over the next 24 hours, the met department added.
