SAD Nov 23 meeting to decided on next SGPC chief

Chandigarh, Nov 17 (UNI) The Political Affairs Committee (PAC) of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) will meet here on November 23 to take a decision on the presidential candidate for the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandik Committee (SGPC) elections to be held on November 25 at Amritsar.

The SAD (Amritsar) president Parkash Singh Badal will preside over the meeting, a party release here today stated.

The meeting will also take a decision on the other office bearers of the SGPC - senior vice-president, junior vice-president, the general-secretary and the executive.

Mr Badal will hold a meeting on November 24, the with all SGPC members belonging to the SAD at Amritsar.

The PAC will also discuss the arrangements to be made for the state level Moga rally of December 8, in which former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, BJP chief Rajnath Singh and Chief Ministers of NDA-ruled states are expected to participate.
