Puducherry Planning Board meeting on Nov 20

Puducherry, Nov 17 (UNI) The first meeting of the Puducherry State Planning Board for the present financial year will be held here on November 20, under the chairmanship of Lt Governor Mukut Mithi.

According to an official release here today, the agenda of the meeting was to obtain suggestions from the members of the Board on formulation of the draft of 11th five year plan 2007-12 and draft annual plan 2007-08, which may be included overall size of the 11th five year plan, major projects to be taken up, thrust areas fort speedy economic growth, development indicators to be achieved under each sector with special reference to reduction of poverty and unemployment and approach to improve the delivery system.

Chief Minister, his Cabinet colleagues, Parliament members from Puducherry, Opposition's leader, Chief Secretary, all Secretaries to the government, heads of the departments and Inspector General of Police (IGP) would attend the meeting.
